"Health is the greatest of human blessings." ~ Hippocrates
Just a little bit about me:
An advocate of preventative medicine and holistic health practices, I am an explorer of body, mind and world. I love life and have a lot of love in my life. Hungry by nature, I travel near and far in search of my next meal. Along my travels, I've visited breathtaking places and have met some of the most incredible people. Moved, challenged, enlightened and humbled by their stories, I'm eager to tell their tales through my food based blog and column, Justine Eats The World. An avid label reader, I scrutinize standard practices, placing food and food companies on my chopping block.
In 2018, I opened my own yoga studio, Yoga Brain East Falls. YB was a fusion style studio with a community feel and a wide spectrum of holistic healing modalities and practices that reflect my own broad interest in the healing arts. Due to COVID-19, I chose to close YB in June of 2020 and all of my personal offerings went virtual. An advocate of my own health, I work to inspire others through my writing and my teaching to do the same for themselves. I encourage people to revisit our ancient history and fiercely questioning the status quo. You can practice with me from anywhere in the world through my virtual classes.
I love being active and outdoors as much as possible! In my free time, I enjoy making playlists, reading (everything from books to menus) and listening to podcasts (mostly true crime). I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Temple University and currently work as a Market Manager for Quidel (promoting education around at-home COVID testing). In the Fall of 2022, I will be starting my Doctor of Acupuncture program at The Won Institute of Graduate Studies. I happily live in Philadelphia with my partner Jeff and our 3 animal babies Bings, Marty and Chocula.
